About Us
The diverse Potrero Community is rich with heritage from the Diegueno to the Kumeyaay Indians, Buffalo Soldiers and early Civil War veterans whom resided in the Potrero Valley out to Dogpatch, USA. The stories of the past have helped set some of our traditions today such as the annual Country Christmas. Many traditions, as in the country dances, Stop By For Pie, reenactment of the Gaskill brothers shoot out and others have died away, nevertheless we hope to revive these and make them local customs and create new ones to enhance the family environment in Potrero.
